At the head and foot of the poem is an abstract design of squares and rectangles, the upper in relief, the lower in bold. The whole is surrounded by a rectangular triple fillet in red. The reverse side, in addition to the colophon, contains a note indicating that the design is the last of Barbara Howard's contributions to The Gauntlet Press. Christmas 2002.
