Description
Summary:breeks n pl Then what is perhaps the pice de rsistance of the whole juvenile winter ensemble was drawn on. The set of briggs. Or "breeks" as they are called by some. These garments were forged / from material of an inch thickness which had been woven from quarter inch manilla rope and guaranteed to "stand up". It is hard to picture the effect caused by this piece of drygoods. They were reinforced at the knees with patches of the stoutest leather with slits in the legs which were snugly fitted against the juvenile calf by means of an arrangement of lacings.
