| Summary: | top n One of our last tasks before leaving home would be to secure several tops of spruce trees laden with buds which we carried with us to the fishery. At intervals the buds would be taken and put into a wooden barrel with a quantity of water and molasses. When this brewed the desired length of time, it produced a refreshing drink, quenching thirst better than anything I know of.
