Bangbelly . . . "Bangbellies" were pancakes (Shrove Tuesday is tradition- ally "Pancake Night."). Mr. Lambert always called pancakes "bangbellies" - probably because they are sometimes soggy, and, therefore, hard on the stomach! JH 7/70 Used I and Sup Used I Not used
