My informant tells of how, when the cows were milked (and this task would be completed by six o'clock), every Saturday morning he, his brother or a hired hand would leave for town with a load of vegetables. Usually it would be seven or seven-thirty by the time he got under way since there would be no point in reaching customers before they were up.
