Description
Summary:red a As a child, I would play with some friends , by a piece of rocky coastline down a path from their home. My friends would tell of "_Red Caps_" which lived among the huge boulders. "Red Caps" were some sort of creature which at the time I did not associate as "fairy." As the area was a dangerous playground for children , the term "Red Caps" was no doubt used by the parents of these friends to discourage them from this area. No doubt to them (parents), these were fairies. DICT CEN. DNE-cit Used I and Sup Used I 3 Not used Newfoundland Folklore Survey
