It has a very tight-fitting top with a lip that comes down over sides of kettle. Mr. H Trickett, Spout Cove and St. John's, said it was a bailing kettle on board boat, with a straight handle. Cooking on board boat was done in an iron bake-pot, as for making fish-chowder. WK] Used I and Sup Not used 3 Not used Card is stamped DNE-cit, but its contents are not used.
