Long's Hill was Long's Lane and there was vacant land on the west side "which is a perfect cesspool for nuisance; the exhalation rising from it during the summer months is most dangerous to the health of the locality." So said John Kavanagh. Albion Street led into Rennie's Mill Road but I can't place it. It could hardly have been a pleasant place for a box had to be placed on the north side of the street "for the accommodation of the people of the locality to deposit their _nuisance_ in."
