| Summary: | lineways Where family lots adjoined in the forest, or bordered on Crown Lands, boundaries were merely blazed. In Freshwater, for example, where many of the lots were surveyed and granted by the government, open paths or "lineways" acted as boundaries through the wooded sections of the property.
