The examination reports Wood as saying: ".about 6 weeks after theire settinge out att the Admlls place at the Isle of Colinet by bad weather theire shalloway wch they had of the said Xpher Pollard splitt in two peices & dam- maged the small remaindr of provisions which they had left soe they launcht a new shalloway from the Admlls place & put the rest of theire provisions into her & moord her with 2 keylocks." I haven't noticed any other early uses of this word, though I have run into it as a name!
