Summary: | sheila n "Sheila's Brush" was the first storm to occur (in the month of March) after St. Patrick's Day - March 17th. If the weather became fine after this day, my father said that he would hear the old-timers say "We've got to have Sheila's Brush before the winter's over." No legend was connected with this, except for the fact that Sheila was said to be "a wicked old woman". No reasons or stories were given.
