Description
Summary:salt n The competition between the exporters of Newfoundland Codfish in their attempts to make sales in the consuming markets, is said to be responsible for a lower value than would be necessary, if there were more co-operation and less competition in selling methods. Competition in business is by no means unusal and its absence from the Salt Fish trade of Newfoundland would call for just as much comment. With so large a number of persons engaged in the export trade, the element of competition is much more likely to be active, than if the number were smaller.
