Description
Summary:molasses From what experience I have had Fishing and going around in boats, I have always found "Molasses bread" to be the favourite lunch. . . . It is . . . Island wide to take molasses bread. Fishermen use it today as well as yesterday and people who just go on long journeys by sea find it appetizing. Maybe it is because it doesn't freeze. . . . I have seen my grandfather take his little 8 oz bottle of molasses and pour the sticky, sweet substance directly on his bread. Spoons are uncalled for. For plus the fact that sugar wasn't there it was needed he poured the molasses into his tea as well. You'll find that molasses is still used by fishermen (mostly) but not as often as it was twenty years ago. JH APR 1971 Used I and Sup Used I Not used
