| Summary: | stepped Our voyage to Fortune was uneventful and we found upon reaching there that the schooner was launched, but her masts had not ->been stepped, and there was a great deal of work to be performed before whe would be ready for sea. . . . nearly everyone was fitting out or ready for the herring fishery, so that it was very evident that in a few days there would be but a few men in the place to help us spar the schooner. . . . the builder secured the necessary assistance, and the spars were put up.
