Description
Summary:anxiety n In St. Bernard's, F.B. [LP: Fortune Bay] the word "anxiety" takes on a meaning similar to pus. When a young man had a boil on his arm, some older women said "You should put a poultice on that and draw the anxiety out of it". _also_ a young boy had a "running ear" and his mother kept him home from school.said "He's got a wonderful sore ear. You should see the anxiety that runs out of it!" Furthermore, such a sore ear was described to me as "an anxious ear."
