Summary:juggle _Childlore_: doing _"juggles"_. [PT]JW As a boy I remember when a crowd of boys got together, especially around the fishing wharf, the talk came around to one boy daring the others to do a little task such as jump over a barrell or lift a small anchor. He would issue his challenge with these words, "I got a juggle for you." When the others would ask; [reverse] "What is it?," he would either explain or do it himself to show the rest of us what he meant. If the "juggle" were not a really difficult one to do, all of the boys would attempt it. However if the juggle involved something more difficult, like jumping across a 10-12 foot channel of water, or running across the brook on thin ice, few would try it. One would probably say, "I'll do it if you do it" and this would continue till some brave boy went first. Rarely, were there juggles that no one attempted, because usually a boy challenged something that he knew was possible to do, or almost possible. Each of about ten boys then issued in turn a challenge for the others to do a juggle, until a whole afternoon was spent. Yes DICT CEN.
