Harses flowers
horse n. This is the local term for the wild iris which is found commonly in the Grand Bank area. The word was quite common in Grand Bank some years ago ( 1955-59) especially among the children which whom I associated. The buds of these flowers are called 'harses buds'. Rarely used today....
