Description
Summary:grin The grin is a piece of wood about a foot and a half long. one or two inches in diameter. A Piece of rope with a loop (bite) in it is fastened to the handle. The loop is put around the horse's bottom lip. The harder the black-smith twists the grin--the more peaceful the horse becomes until it is quite simple to put on and take off ten shoes if need be. By the look of the grin (smile) on the horses face--one would think she actually enjoys getting shoed. W. J.
