Summary:grunt According to my tradition a Blueberry Grunt is much like a pie only much thicker. In my family it is made, usually, in a thick pan or (nowaday, Pyrex dish). A pie Pastry is made and placed in the pan (after being rolled out) so that it fits neatly around the bottom and sides of the pan. The Pan is then filled with Blueberries and sugar is sprinkled over them. Another Pastry is then rolled out and placed over the blueberries. The Grunt is then placed into the oven and baked.
