Description
Summary:fodge _Fodge for Yourself_: This expression is used by the older people of my community to mean "do things for yourself." The younger generations do not use it too frequently but occasionally will. It can be used in either of two contexts. (1) If a man has been living with his wife for some years and he finds himself suddenly living alone, it may be said that now he has to "fodge for himself." In another way, if [reverse] you are invited to another persons home, someone may tell you to "fodge" for yourself, which means "get up and do things for yourself (this of course,is said in a friendly tone) or "make yourself at home."
