Description
Summary:front But the major portion [of the Gulf seals]/ seem to keep on down, passing through Cabot Strait .These eventually reach the Grand Banks, the St. Pierre Bank, the Banquereaux, and even Sable Island - probably the farthest southern limit of the migration. Here they join the Atlantic group which all this time has been working down the "Front." The two nations live and feed together on these fishing grounds for a while, playing havoc with various food fishes, especially the cod. W. J.
