Summary:fib The Fib is a dance which is very difficult to do and this verse [see Archive Card 70-24/113] is sung to accompany it. The lines describe how the dance goes. The idea of it is to try and last it out until the verse has been sung . . . . . My informant said that his grandfather used to do the dance while observers looked on. He said that people would get out on the floor while the audience would look on, and then wait to see who could last out the longest.
