Now you say they're associated with the _woods_ an' _the marshes_ round about and they're most active, this is inter-esting, between day an' dark,at this _twilight_ time. H._Twilight_ time, yes. JW. Did they call it _twilight_? What did they call it? H. Usually '_between day an' dark_'. The term 'duckish' was never heard. I never heard the term 'duskish' until I went to Labrador. . . . . . . . . But defin- itely _the Fairies_ [phonetic trans.] either evening or morning. JW. So that time when it gets light or when it gets dark. H.WHen it gets dark. JW. In between the times.An' They're not around in the very _dark_,an' they 're not around so much in the very light either? H.No. JW. Now they're told _the Fairies_ live in _the marshes_. Are there.does anyone give a des- cription of what they're like? H. I've heard several. JW.Well let's have some o' these. I remember you telling me about.people.quite _tall Fairies_,quite _big Fairies_ at one point,four and five feet high, were they,or four feet high. H. Oh yes.They're about four feet high. JW. Right.Now you .you.you did just the same as you did in the lab.the other day! You had a deinite conception of a _Fairy_ an' you put your hand down here,four feet above the ground,and said.now.(that)they're quite tall.Now what else did you tell me about them?They had a hat,a certain type of hat on?
