But defin- itely _the Fairies_ [phonetic trans.] either evening or morning. JW. So that time when it gets light or when it gets dark. H.WHen it gets dark. JW. In between the times.An' They're not around in the very _dark_,an' they 're not around so much in the very light either? H.No. JW. Now they're told _the Fairies_ live in _the marshes_. I remember you telling me about.people.quite _tall Fairies_,quite _big Fairies_ at one point,four and five feet high, were they,or four feet high. H. Oh yes.They're about four feet high. JW. You had a deinite conception of a _Fairy_ an' you put your hand down here,four feet above the ground,and said.now.(that)they're quite tall.Now what else did you tell me about them?They had a hat,a certain type of hat on?
