Summary:dungeon The "Dungeon" on board of an old-time Sealer was the name often given to a space bulk-headed off under the main deck where the cooks and servers slept. The bulk of the crew were provided with double berths rigged-up in the Tween-decks over the ballast tanks of the Main Hold. The 'Ballroom" was the Forecastle, where on some ships the Masters of Watches and Engineers had their berths. All ships were not planned however in same manner, G. M.
