Summary:dip v The dip net is made locally. The ring of the net is made from cast iron, about 1/2 inch in diameter. The diameter of the net ring is 2 1/2 feet. This iron ring is then fastened unto a round handle, about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and about 4 1/2 feet long. The two ends of the ring are fitted into the grooved end of the handle. Then a piece of iron tubing is fitted tightly over the 'inserted' ends of the net ring. The net is then knitted into the ring and the 'dip net' is ready for use.
