Description
Summary:cripple [PT]JW _"cripples"_ Scaffolding aids. Each cripple was shaped like a letter "F" without the lower bar, or like an "L" upside down. This was done by nailing two pieces of heavy plank together. Spars were nailed across the two arms for greater strength. Long poles were then placed into the apex of the cripple which now rested -> [reverse] against the house held up by the pole. Planks were then laid along the top, from one cripple to another.
