crow n Grand Bank 'shags' Fortune 'goats' Garnish 'crows' These are names used to describe people coming from the various neighbouring towns on the Burin Peninsula. Fortune 'goats' because there were always goats at Fortune, Grand Bank 'shags' because of the name of a type of bird found in the area and Garnish crows because there are quite a few crows found around the beaches in the Garnish area.
