Summary:caudle v Personal recall. to caudle it up to fool some theme up . . to make a pose attempt at anything - whether it be a plan or a cake . . People often, in a confusion say "I'm so caudled up now I don't know what I'm doing . . . You're a proper caudleri is often said to someone who confuses things or does something [see 'caudle] [reverse] wrong. This word has been in my family for years as long as my mother can remember 1900 (He grand parents used it. Although it is not used now very frequently, It does come up sometimes n out house hold. I should add an after thought- that it was suggested to me that perhaps this word is 'coddled'. The cod fish is claimed to be a very stupid fish and there may be a connection here.
