This is a book for tourists with information on the Magdalen Islands and St. Pierre and Miquelon, but with primary focus on Newfoundland and Labrador. Chapters four through thirteen are about Newfoundland and Labrador and cover many topics which would be of interest to tourists, including the history, economy, and geography of the Island. Also discussed are modes of travel to, from, and on the island, climate, the seal fishery as well as areas like the French Shore, Placentia, and Heart's Content.
