Chapters four through thirteen are about Newfoundland and Labrador and cover many topics which would be of interest to tourists, including the history, economy, and geography of the Island. Also discussed are modes of travel to, from, and on the island, climate, the seal fishery as well as areas like the French Shore, Placentia, and Heart's Content. Dr. Grenfell and tourism are the topics of the chapter on Labrador, as is the dispute between Newfoundland and Quebec over Labrador's land. There is also a chapter on the legendary city of Brest, said to be located on the south coast of Labrador. Includes bibliographical references.
