Other chapters deal with the signing of the new constitution in 1934, the geography of Newfoundland, statistics, and Newfoundland's part in World War I. The second volume includes information on St. John's, the police and firefighters, several different clubs found in Newfoundland, sports such as football, ice hockey, and boxing, and the different religions found in Newfoundland. Many illustrations and photographs are included.
