Many chapters deal specifically with the political and social structures of the Atlantic Provinces, including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Areas in central Canada are discussed, and the geographical area surrounding Hudson Bay is explored at length. Other chapters contain sections on the Bermuda islands, as well as the island of Newfoundland. There are several maps and illustrations included within this text.
