Gordon Walter Wheeler was born in York Harbour in 1960. His father was Chester Wheeler (1931-2009), a fisherman, carpenter and Korean War Veteran. His mother, Stella May (Young) (1930-2004), was originally from Rocky Harbour and was the first postmistress in York Harbour. Chester and Stella married in 1953. Llewelyn Charles Kendell was born in York Harbour in 1957. His mother was Melissa Kendell (nee Childs) was born in Lark Harbour in 1938. His father, Wilson Arthur Kendell (1931-2007), was born in York Harbour."
