Other Authors: Dennis, Henry Roy (1932-), Henry Roy Dennis was born in the community of John’s Beach, Humber Arm South in 1932 to Joseph and Alma Dennis. Due to his father’s poor health, Roy left school to start work at age eleven. He fished for lobster, herring and cod in the Bay of Islands. He built his first boat, a dory, at the age of fourteen.
