Summary:The Immigration and Settlement Workshop provided an opportunity for decision makers, practitioners and academic researchers to discuss the current state of knowledge about immigration issues and to identify key research questions relevant to immigration in Newfoundland and Labrador. It provided the opportunity for discussions on various topics including: current trends in attracting, integrating and retaining immigrants; the knowledge gaps experienced by Provincial, Federal and non-governmental stakeholders; and opportunities for collaboration between governments, non-governmental organizations, immigrants and university researchers.
