Summary: | This is the last and only recorded performance of the April Rabbit, a one-night evening of entertainment which boasted the talent (literary and musical) of emerging artists on the West coast of Newfoundland. Originally started in 1998 by Al Pittman and Stephanie McKenzie, the April Rabbit (which took its inspiration from The March Hare, Atlantic Canada’s largest literary festival) was run by McKenzie, Douglas Walbourne-Gough and Rebekah Robbins (as well as other volunteers) for a significant number of years. This last production of the April Rabbit includes its first international guest/performer, Jamaican poet Tanya Shirley. Produced by Douglas Walbourne-Gough, Stephanie McKenzie and Helen Reid, Corner Brook, Newfoundland. |
