Trace element composition of sulfide inclusions in garnets from the Udachnaya Kimberlite Pipe, Yakutia

Trace element composition (Zn, Pb, In, Cd, Ag, As, Sb, Se, Te, Mo, Sn, Ru, Rh, Os, Ir, and Pt) of sulfide inclusions in garnets was studied with a proton microprobe HIAF. The PGE contents of sulfides are 15-300 chondrite values. This is several times lower than that of sulfide globules from olivines...

Description
Summary:Trace element composition (Zn, Pb, In, Cd, Ag, As, Sb, Se, Te, Mo, Sn, Ru, Rh, Os, Ir, and Pt) of sulfide inclusions in garnets was studied with a proton microprobe HIAF. The PGE contents of sulfides are 15-300 chondrite values. This is several times lower than that of sulfide globules from olivines and diamonds. The sulfides have similar chondrite-normalized PGE patterns with a clearly pronounced Ru minimum which is not typical of sulfides from diamonds and olivines.
