Summary: | The purpose of this thesis was to find out which factors can help improve the job satisfaction of employees at the Municipality of Luleå and help them become better employees. Using a quantitative method and a semi-structured questionnaire the answers of the following questions where sought: Do the employees experience job satisfaction, and if they do, what is the reason for it? According to the employees, which factors should a good employer be able to offer? The theoretical framework includes theories about job satisfaction and the reasons for it. The results showed that the employees were satisfied in their work, but they could benefit from more feedback from their employer. Moreover, the most important factor in the work, according to the employees, where nice co-workers. The salary also showed to be an important factor to the employees, but some wished they would get more per month.
