Description
Summary:A present project at the Dept. of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Luleå University of Technology deals with numeric simulation of electromagnetic properties. The method in use is entitled the partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method. An experimental code has earlier been developed in which new theory in this area has been tested and implemented. In this bachelor thesis work are going to be done with the existing PEEC code to try to give the performance a boost by mostly using grid computing. This is done via the grid middleware Alchemi. The results show that parts of the program can make use of Alchemi to improve the overhead executing time of the original PEEC program. But some of the parts are better if calculated locally.
