Description
Summary:There is a great demand for a new engineer within the Swedish Construction Industry, one with a good command of the industrial and construction process as well as the forming and architectonic part of construction. Traditionally, these competencies have developed within different academic disciplines that are rather remote from each other, creating a gap in the increasingly technology driven construction industry of today. To meet this demand in society and industry, a new engineering program named Industrial Architecture has been created at Luleå University of Technology. This paper describes the driving forces behind this new program, the development of the program, the curriculum and the attractiveness of the program. Godkänd; 2007; 20071217 (ysko)
