Description
Summary:After few gravity observations on ice-covered water bodies in Lithuania it was find out that the measuring conditions in ice field are very unfavourable for gravity observations, since the determination of the mass sencor position of relative gravimeters is a challenge on topo f the oscillating surfaces of ice sheet. To ensure better quality of fgravity measurements, special methodology should be choosen. The recorded „raw“ data from gravimeters proved to be particularly helpful for studying the effect of oascilating elastic ice sheet. For better knowledge of ice sheet movements, vibrations and movements was detected with a two singleaxle seismic accerometer‘s. Ice displacement in vertical direction ranges from –43 µm to +54 µm
