Description
Summary:The roads of the Republic of Lithuania are maintained in winter conditions almost 5 month per year. It is corker by geographical position and climate. Snow gathering and ice making causes slippery upspring on the pavement in winter. Slipperys reduces coefficient of vehicle tires grip with paving, vehicles driving speed, raises accident rate and aggravates maintenance of roads. Chemical materials, mostly different salts, powdery materials and mixtures of chemical-powdery materials, are used to reduce slippery on the roads. Different ply and density of snow crust or ice sheet forms on the pavement in winter conditions. Therefore spreading norms of different materials are defined to reduce slippery of the pavement.
