| Summary: | In the article a concept of "policy of science" is discussed. Description of situation of policy of science in Lithuania is given. There are 5472 persons in science, among them 1760 women (32%). The same phenomen on the basis of materials of conference "Gender qualifications in high education". On the level of professors in science the situation of women in West countries in 1996 was much better: among Lithuanian scientists there were only 9,5% professors-women, in Finland 12,7%, in Norway 9,9%, in Sweden 7,5%, in Denmark and Iceland - 6%. |
