Description
Summary:Notes from Linnaeus pater's zoology lectures, probably given in the late 1750s, just before the publication of Linné, Carl von. 1758. "Systema naturae". Stockholm (10th edition), as binomials are used, but not the same ones as the 1758 "Systema naturae". Some of the specific epithets are different from the ones published in 1758 (see for example f. 2 "Lanius monitor" published as "Lanius Excubitor"). Some numbers correspond to genera numbers in Linné, Carl von. 1746. "Fauna Svecica". Stockholm. Some of the classification is also different from the "Systema naturae" 10th edition (see the genus "Picus", fol. 3, in particular). Possibly two sets of notes, as the handwriting and paper are different. In ink and pencil. One of the set consists of two fascicles held by pins (ff. 9-12 and 17-20).
