Summary:International audience If the use of the Northeast Passage (NEP) is considered being profitable for bulk, the point of view regarding container transportation differs according to the parameters analyzed and the point of view of the authors. Yet, as far as we know, none of them assessed the limit of the number of containers that can be managed by the NEP between Asia and Northern Europe and hence the maximum market share the NEP could, in theory, take from the Suez Canal Route (SCR).
