Description
Summary:This thesis explores how a person's relationship with place develops and delves into the importance of space in human life, how a person's attachment to a place begins, and other social and psychological aspects. Using the work of the authors studied, it analyses people in space and the environment around them. This topic became particularly relevant during the pandemic, when people had to limit their contact with other people around them for safety reasons, thus encouraging them to stay at home for their own health and that of others. During the pandemic, psychological problems were particularly acute, due to reduced socialisation and being in the same place all the time. The relevance of this theme has also been portrayed by other artists, both abroad and in Lithuania, due to the increased number of depictions of people in different spaces. Human relationships and the concept of space are widely explored, but the novelty of this work is due to the representation of people in space and the palette that explores why people become attached to a place and the factors that lead to visiting the same place. The findings of this work show that social relationships and visits to paces play an important role in people's psychological well-being, leading to memories of places, and that people tend to return to places that satisfy their physical and sociological needs.
