| Summary: | 180 years have passed since establishment of the first and oldest military medical institution in the vast expanse of Russia, from Eastern Siberia to Kamchatka and the Far East. During almost two centuries the Irkutsk hospital conscientiously worked both on a peaceful basis and through the difficulties of two World Wars and the Revolution. It still stands guard over the health of Russians, despite the difficulties of recent decades. The essay examines the historical aspects of the hospital development and tells about the people who worked in the hospital in different years. 180 лет исполнилось первому и старейшему военному медицинскому учреждению на огромном про- сторе России, от Восточной Сибири до Камчатки и Дальнего Востока. На протяжении почти двух вековой истории Иркутский госпиталь добросовестно трудился как на мирной почве, так и пройдя трудности двух Мировых войн и революции. Он и по сей день стоит на страже здоровья россиян, несмотря на трудности последних десятилетий. В очерке рассматриваются исторические аспекты развития госпиталя и рассказывается о людях, которые в разные годы трудились в нем.
