The paper presents analysis of the primary survey data of the radiation situation in the South-Eastern Sakhalin region (Korsakov district and Kunashir and Shikotan islands) and preliminary assessment of the impact of releases from the Fukushima NPP accident in Japan on the radioactive contamination level of the area and the environment. Possible annual internal exposure doses of population of these territories are conservatively assessed on the basiс of the results of radiometric and gamma-spectrometric investigations of local foodstuffs samples. В работе представлен анализ данных первичного обследования радиационной обстановки в юго- восточной части Сахалинской области (в Корсаковском районе и на островах Кунашир и Шикотан) и предварительная оценка влияния на уровень радиоактивного загрязнения территории и объектов внешней среды выбросов в результате аварии на японской АЭС «Фукусима-1». По результатам радиометрического и гамма-спектрометрического исследования проб пищевых продуктов местного происхождения выполнена консервативная оценка возможных годовых доз внутреннего облучения населения этих территорий.
