Development of the Sphere of National Patriotic Education in Conditions of Decentralization and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine

The article examines peculiarities of the development of the national patriotic education sphere in conditions of decentralization of domestic authorities and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine. It is indicated that national patriotic education is aimed at forming the national consciousness in youth, as well as a sense of love for Ukraine, respect for outstanding Ukrainian political and historical figures and key events of Ukrainian history, readiness for the conscientious realization of civic and constitutional duties, in particular, the protection of the native Motherland. Attention is focused on the fact that the national patriotic education of the Ukrainian population contributes to strengthening the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine as a state, since only full membership in the North Atlantic Alliance can provide a reliable sovereignty guarantee and territorial integrity. This is one of the key tasks of the national patriotic education. It is emphasized that the key conditions for joining the North Atlantic Alliance are commitments to the values that are common to the countries of the Euro-Atlantic community, democratization of all spheres of life and decentralization, within the framework of which the formation of territorial communities (TCs) is carried out. It is indicated that the implementation of state policy in the national patriotic education field at the level of TCs requires clarification of the mechanisms of organizational and methodical regulation. Today, the main shortcoming of the resource foundationof specialists working with youth in TCs is insufficient material and personnel base.
